Established in 2010, ABC (American Biogas Council) leads the advancement of biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) technologies, representing a diverse network of more than 400 companies and 6,000 professionals across the value chain — including farms, landfills, wastewater treatment facilities, waste-to-energy plants, technology providers, and investors.
Through policy advocacy, industry research, marketing and networking initiatives, training programs, and data-driven insights, ABC actively supports the growth and professionalisation of the biogas sector. Its mission is to expand industry adoption, remove regulatory and financial barriers, promote sustainable technology deployment, and maximise the environmental and economic value of converting organic waste into renewable energy and soil-enhancing products.
The American Biogas Council serves as a central platform for collaboration among stakeholders, driving innovation, job creation, emissions reduction, and circular economy development through anaerobic digestion and biogas solutions.
