Biokona UAB is a Lithuanian engineering and manufacturing company that delivers turn-key biogas, biomethane and renewable-gas solutions from initial feasibility through long-term operation. Since its launch in 2014, the firm has evolved from a small design office into one of the Baltic region’s leading builders of biogas and biomethane plants, recognised for modular equipment that shortens project timelines and lowers capital cost. Headquartered in Biruliškės (Kaunas), Lithuania, with a satellite office in Vilnius, Biokona employs ≈ 30 specialists—process engineers, mechanical designers, control-system programmers and field technicians—who support projects throughout Europe (Nordics, Benelux, DACH, CEE) and opportunistically in North America and Asia.

Biokona was founded on the belief that organic waste streams—manure, agro-residues, food waste and landfill gas—represent an under-used energy and nutrient resource. The company therefore set out to design plant technology that is modular, future-proof and easy to operate, enabling farmers, municipalities and industry to convert diverse feedstocks into green energy and fertiliser with minimal risk.

End-to-end capability
Biokona’s engineers can take a client from a blank sheet to a producing facility. Services start with feedstock analysis and availability studies, gas-yield modelling and business-case preparation. Once a project proves viable, Biokona delivers basic and detailed design, obtains permits, manufactures core equipment in Lithuania and orchestrates on-site EPC works—civil foundations, piping, electrics, automation and safety systems. Standardised modules (digesters, pumping stations, compressors, upgrading skids) are prefabricated and FAT-tested before shipping, cutting construction time and allowing phased capacity expansion.
