IBA – Indian Biogas Association

The Indian Biogas Association (IBA) stands as the nationwide body representing operators, manufacturers, planners, researchers, and policymakers active in the biogas value-chain. IBA’s vision is to promote biogas in a manner that bridges India’s energy deficit, reduces waste and pollution, and contributes to smarter cities and rural development.

The association aims to raise awareness via training sessions, publications, events, and collaborations; partner with corporates, government bodies, and NGOs; support biogas plants across scales; identify gaps across the value chain; and drive coherent sector growth. Through its network and initiatives, IBA acts as a focal point for advancing biogas technologies, business models, and policy frameworks in India and beyond—accelerating the shift towards clean, circular energy systems.
