NPF

The Norwegian Petroleum Society is a professional, membership‑based body founded in 1972, with headquarters in Oslo and 11 local chapters around Norway. It provides an independent, non‑political platform for technical discussion and knowledge exchange in Norway’s petroleum industry, largely through conferences, local chapter meetings, and expert forums.

The NPF also helped establish the ONS conference (a major petroleum event) and supports long-term industry education and outreach — for instance by sponsoring the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. With around 2,000 members and more than 75 local activities annually, the NPF plays a central role in connecting professionals across the petroleum sector.
