Biogas Intelligence+ 2025

Biogas Intelligence+ 2025 is a focused 3-day conference tailored for biogas operators, engineers, developers, and decision-makers eager to explore what’s actually working in the biogas and biomethane industry today.

Whether you’re scaling up production, exploring digital tools like AI for optimization, benchmarking project outcomes, or simply looking to connect with the right people — this event is built to deliver relevant, hands-on insights and practical value.

This unique event brings together high-level expertise and real-world case studies, featuring:

  • Expert-led keynote talks on future-ready biogas strategies
  • Real project presentations with data, results, and lessons learned
  • Networking sessions with 150+ international participants
  • Evening networking dinner (Oct 7)
  • Optional technical site visit to full-scale biomethane plants (Oct 9)

Biogas Intelligence+ is a signature event by IBBK, held only once a year, which is designed to spotlight the most relevant, field-proven innovations in biogas and biomethane. With a strong focus on practical outcomes, this conference helps participants to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving sector.

Plant visits

This training features exclusive visits to multiple biogas plants across Germany, offering a unique chance to experience biogas and biomethane technology in action, compare different approaches, and explore diverse plant setups.

Newcomers – gain hands-on insight into the practical aspects of biogas plant operation.

Technology providers – benchmark competitors, explore system performance and network.

Project developers – observe and discuss various plant configurations and technologies to be up-to-date.

Investors – learn to evaluate risk, performance, and return on investment.

Researchers & students – bridge theory with practice by observing biogas in-action.

Policymakers & regulators – see the blanks and opportunities of biogas business to align regulatory conditions with real-world situations.

Consultants – broaden technical knowledge and expand your network.

2017 International IBBK Biogas Course, Stuttgart, Germany

The program brought together engineers, scientists, postgraduates, project managers, plant constructors, and operators. Renowned experts delivered lectures at the SIMT (Institute for Management and Technology), offering valuable insights into the current operation of biogas production. The academic sessions were enriched with in-depth study tours to five state-of-the-art biogas plants, ranging from biomethane fueling stations to municipal bio-waste digestion facilities. Participants also collected and analyzed digester samples on site and visited the laboratories of the University of Hohenheim for further practical learning.
